OUR LIFE IN CHALABRE:

An American Expat in
the South of France

AUTUMN IN THE PYRENEES

(October 2006)

Taking advantage of the beautiful weather, we took a drive up the Pyrenees Mountains, towards Andorra, and back.

From Ax les Thermes, we climbed towards the small town of L'Hospitalet-près-
l'Andorre

At the top (2050 mm) is the Andorran border and market town of Pas de la Case

A view of the valley below, towards France.

On the way back, we drove through Puyvalador, the col de la Quillane and Roquefort de Sault

Lovely autumn foliage

Sunlight reflected through the leaves and eerily shone on a stream and a white rock
