Every year in October, they hold their Apple Festival...   One of our little less-travelled roads, between Chalabre and Mirepoix. The Pyrénées on the horizon...   Our lovely countryside, dotted with farmhouses...   On Mirepoix' market square, the Halle welcomes the Apple fest with various apple sculptures... ...A drakkar made of apples... ...A plane made of apples... ...A racecar made of apples...   ...A windmill made of apples (see the pattern?)...   The local farmers have booths where one can buy a lot of good stuff... ...including apples!
